Our Meeting Was Inevitable
Throughout life we meet many people. Some teach us many useful things for the rest of our lives, others teach us nothing, or so we believe.
We also know many people who, even when we are at our worst, know how to take our essence without making any effort. They may not have the same effect on others, but on you they do.
Others go through our lives without friendship and mutual knowledge, but their work and work leave marks on our way of understanding the world.
I once read that you have to try to be the person you would like to meet. This is difficult, I often doubt who I am and where the truth lies, but it is true that the more I doubt and the more I put myself to the test, the better I feel in my own skin.
I cannot deny that my existence is not conditioned by a great spirituality, a great humanitarian work or a fascination in some concrete field of life.
What fascinates me are the people who have passed through my life and made me, in turn, fascinated by everything that before seemed inert.
Because happiness isn’t real if it’s not shared …but if it’s shared with someone who doesn’t transmit anything to us, then loneliness will be rest and calm.
For this reason, I define my story based on the magical encounters people have given me throughout it. Those that make the heart shrink, make the eyes water for good nostalgia and make us find ourselves again.
Sometimes I feel sad at how different the paths between someone and me have become, under the influence of something outside of us.
From each and every one of these little angels who have passed or are in my life, I drew conclusions. I hope that the transformation for both parties has been positive and that this strange intimacy we share has served as a shelter in the bad times.
Because sometimes, yes, it’s good to look back to see what lessons people have given us, and what we expect from now on.
There are some things that, after transforming my soul, left me with something clear in mind:
– The sense of humor must be far from what is considered acceptable, it must be as irreverent as our friendship or our love.
– Silence is a divine quality, which is only appreciated and shared when the communication is so true that it does not make it necessary to talk too much. People, sometimes, in an attempt to talk a lot, end up distancing themselves.
– My intimacy is what I give you; it is not necessary to talk about what neither I understand about myself nor what I have never understood about other people. I like the privacy we create together, not interested in the privacy we both have separately.
– I don’t care about your past. If you’re not faking it in the present, I’ll praise this turbulent past because I can touch the earth looking up to the skies.
– I like to continue preserving my habits and peculiarities, and I like the other person to do the same. The wonderful thing is to share what we both love.
– It’s not enough that I know I’m important, you need to demonstrate it.
– I’m not interested in morals. I’m interested in values, but only if they alleviate suffering and make me happy. I’m not interested in the money… the class yes, which is in danger of extinction.
– And I’m interested that the other person does not deny the surprising reaction we had when we met, last as long as it lasts, because what lives in the heart never gets old.
So, never regret seeing someone leave your life, if that is the feeling that someone has left you. In any case, this person changed him forever.
